Tweens and Teens Will Go Ape Over This Birthday Party

Tweens and teens go bananas over group activities. So here's a little taste of a group photo scavenger hunt birthday party I call, "Monkey Around." It's perfect for ages 12 to 15 because it gives this full-of-energy age group a chance to ape it up for a few hours.

The party starts with kids high-tailin' it to the mall in small teams as they set off on a photo scavenger hunt adventure. The task? They must include a sock or stuffed monkey like the one shown here - in every picture. After completing the hunt, kids return to "basecamp" (e.g., my house) to share their shots with the whole group. I even award prizes for the best photos.

This party showcases a jungle theme-decor includes palm leaves, grass-skirted tables and lots of bananas. Plus, I serve up a rainforest feast of monkey bread, coconut chicken, jungle rice and nuts and berries. Dessert? Why banana splits, of course!

It's so much fun, even I'm swinging from the trees! For more fun party ideas, visit my blog at www.cherylstyle.com.
